The Rochester Americans scored three unanswered goals to defeat the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, 3-1, on Wednesday night at the Blue Cross Arena.
Amerks goaltender Aaron Dell turned aside 32-of-33 shots to improve to 7-1 this season. Alex D’Orio stopped 19-of-21 shots for the Penguins.
Both teams were unable to convert on their power play opportunities as Rochester went 0-for-3 while Wilkes-Barre/Scranton finished 0-for-2.
Brett Murray, Ethan Prow and JJ Peterka scored for the Amerks.
Pierre-Olivier Joseph scored the lone goal for the Penguins.
The Amerks next game is scheduled for Friday against the Providence Bruins. Puck drop is slated for 7:05 p.m.
