North Carolina man faces charges in Canandaigua for threatening person with a knife

The Canandaigua Police Department reports the arrest of a 48-year-old North Carolina man after he failed to appear in city court.

Coleman Peterson, 48, was charged with criminal contempt, and mandated to participate in court program.

He failed to do so, and pursuant to another investigation it was determined that Peterson threatened a person with a knife in December.

That person had an active court order of protection in place.

He was arrested and turned over to deputies.
