Amerks forward Ryan MacInnis to miss 4-6 weeks with lower-body injury

Rochester Americans head coach Seth Appert spoke to the media following Monday’s practice at the Blue Cross Arena and provided some injury updates.

Forward Ryan MacInnis is expected to miss four-to-six weeks with a lower-body injury. He suffered the injury in Rochester’s 4-2 loss to the Utica Comets on Saturday.

The 25-year-old has recorded 21 points in 32 games with the Amerks this season, including a career-high 11 goals. MacInnis has also skated in one game with the Buffalo Sabres this season.

Appert also said that forwards Jack Quinn and Sean Malone will be out at least another month with lower-body injuries.

Defenseman Brandon Davidson returned to practice in a non-contact jersey.

The Amerks host the Charlotte Checkers on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m.
