The Rochester Americans fell to the first-place Utica Comets, 4-2, on Saturday night at the Blue Cross Arena.
Ethan Prow tallied a pair of assists for the Amerks while Brandon Biro and Michael Mersch recorded their sixth and team-leading 19th goals of the season, respectively.
Fabian Zetterlund recorded a hat trick for Utica and Aarne Talvitie netted the other goal.
The Amerks went 0-for-1 on the power play while the Comets went 2-for-6.
Mat Robson made 23 saves for Rochester. Nico Daws made 28 saves for Utica.
The Amerks are back in action Wednesday when they host the Charlotte Checkers.
