The Buffalo Sabres have recalled goaltender Aaron Dell from the Rochester Americans (AHL) and reassigned forward Jack Quinn and defenseman Casey Fitzgerald to Rochester.
Dell, 32, has appeared in seven games for the Sabres this season. The team has also signed goaltender Michael Houser to a one-year contract. Rookie Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen left Tuesday’s game after the first period with a lower-body injury.
Quinn made his NHL debut on Tuesday, skating 16:30 with three shots on goal. He’s posted 26 points (12+14) in 20 games with the Amerks this season.
Fitzgerald practiced with the team on Monday for the first time since entering the NHL’s COVID-19 protocol on January 3. He has one assist in four NHL games this season, which are also the first games of his career. He played in his first NHL game on December 17.
