Canandaigua man arrested after breaking into apartment, attacking resident with club

Deputies arrested a Canandaigua man following an investigation into a disturbance in the town of Canandaigua.

According to a news release, Caleb Webster, 31, of Canandaigua forced his way into an apartment and began striking the victim with a club.

Deputies took Webster into custody after he attempted to flee the scene.

He was transported to the Ontario County Jail and charged with first-degree burglary, a felony.

The charges will be answered at a later date.
