Palmyra man faces multiple charges after allegedly punching girlfriend

The Wayne County Office of the Sheriff reports the arrest of a Palmyra man for three counts of Criminal Contempt in the First Degree, Reckless Endangerment in the Second Degree and Harassment in the Second Degree.


Eric L. Gonzalez, age 30, of Palmyra, was arrested by deputies after he allegedly punched his girlfriend in the face several times and grabbed the steering wheel of a vehicle which she was operating during the physical altercation. Gonzalez is the subject of several orders of protection filed against him by the victim in different jurisdictions.

Gonzalez was taken to into custody and transported to the Wayne County Jail to await Centralized Arraignment on January 1st at 7:00 AM. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Palmyra court at a later date and time to answer to the charges.
