Elmira Police respond to overnight report of shots fired

Elmira police are investigating a report of gunshots fired in the city early Friday morning.

WENY-TV reports the call came in from the 200 block of Chemung Place at about 12:30AM. Responding officer found shell casings in the wall of an apartment building. No one was hurt. Police have not been able to locate any witnesses to the incident.
