The Buffalo Sabres have recalled goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen from the Rochester Americans, the team announced Monday.
Goaltender Malcolm Subban, acquired from Chicago last Thursday, left with an apparent injury during the third period against Carolina on Saturday. Dustin Tokarski is in the NHL’s COVID-19 protocol.

Luukkonen, 22, has an .888 save percentage in 12 games with Rochester this season. He was named AHL Player of the Week after stopping 112 of 117 shots in three outings from Nov. 10 to 13.
