Victor Central School District currently has over 100 students under quarantine due to a spike in positive COVID cases last week.
These students are back to learning remotely, but it’s not through Zoom like last year.
One mother, Ashley Miller, says her third grade son is struggling to keep up when working from home.
Victor is one of the districts that did not give parents the option of remote learning.
In order to learn virtually this year, students will use Google Classroom with updated course materials. They may also contact their teachers to minimize the chances of falling behind.
Miller says however, that her son has had very limited face time with his teacher. She feels frustrated that there isn’t a better, more structured plan in place for these situations.
