Local restaurants are still suffering from COVID-19 related issues

Local restaurants continue to suffer due to the ongoing issues brought on by the pandemic over last 18 months.

Two restaurants have closed temporarily in Skaneateles for different reasons, but both reasons stem directly from the pandemic.

Rosalie’s Cucina closed after two employees tested positive for COVID-19, and extra precautions were taken for testing and sanitizing.

The bakery has reopened with limited hours, but the restaurant will remain closed until Sept. 15.

Another Skaneateles restaurant suffering from a closure is the Bluewater Grill, which closed Sept. 7 because there wasn’t enough staff to stay open.

The employees that work for the Bluewater Grill will temporarily work at the Sherwood Inn and Gilda’s to help them remain open.
