Someone in the Penn Yan area is $1 million richer. New York Lottery officials confirmed that a winning Mega Millions ticket worth $1 million had been sold at the Byrne Dairy on Liberty Street in Penn Yan.
The ticket was announced as a second-prize for the drawing that occurred the night before.
The drawing was last Wednesday, according to officials, who say a winner has not come forward yet.
