Skaneateles man leads deputies on pursuit in Seneca County after fleeing traffic stop

A 26-year-old Skaneateles man was taken into custody after a vehicle pursuit, which started on State Route 89 at Hyatt Road in the town of Seneca Falls.

It went through several townships, according to deputies, who say it began after the driver failed to provide identification during a traffic stop on Friday.

Deputies eventually arrested Nicolo Petrocci, 26, of Skaneateles following the investigation.

He was taken into custody and charged with obstruction, fleeing a police officer, resisting arrest, failure to comply, reckless driving, and issued a range of citations.

The charges will be answered at a later date.
