Food and gas aren’t the only shortages the pandemic has created- auto repair shops are noticing a tire shortage as well.
Paul Marone, owner of East Ave Auto, says it’s the popular tire sizes for trucks and cars that are hard to find.
The tires aren’t in stock anywhere so they’re becoming more expensive.
Increases are anywhere between 4% and 10% in price.
Marone says the tires are being made in the factory but the issue is shipping.
He added that due to tire replacement often being an emergency situation, people are willing to pay the price for tires right now.
