The City of Geneva announced three major changes for the week of August 30, 2021.
First, the city rescheduled the City Council work session scheduled for August 30, 2021. Geneva moved the meeting to September 15, 2021. The city did not release any details about the September 15th meeting. Since he resigned on August 18, 2021, with an effective date of August 31, 2021, the meeting date change meant that Councilor John Pruett (Ward 6) could not take part in a final council event.
The city also moved the location of the September 1, 2021, regular City Council meeting. The Council usually met at the Geneva Public Safety Center. Council moved the September 1, 2021 meeting to the Cornell AgriTech Campus, Jordan Hall, 630 W. North Street, Geneva, New York. The city required all meeting attendees to wear masks. The City posted the agenda for the September 1, 2021 council meeting at https://secureservercdn.net/198.71.233.181/1be.177.myftpupload.com/wp-content/uploads/27-Sept-1.pdf.
Geneva also announced a change in their planned water main work. The City originally planned to replace water main piping on Castle Street between Genesee Street and Elm Street during the week of August 30, 2021. The city delayed the work. This schedule change meant that there would be no water shutoff in the area. Geneva said they would notify residents before they shut off water to restart the project.
