Johnson & Johnson is recalling five sunscreens after finding low levels of benzene in their samples, a chemical that can cause cancer with repetitive exposure.
The products are Aveeno Protect + Refresh aerosol sunscreen, and four Neutrogena sunscreen versions: Beach Defense aerosol sunscreen, CoolDry Sport aerosol sunscreen, Invisible Daily Defense aerosol sunscreen and UltraSheer aerosol sunscreen.
Johnson & Johnson says they are currently investigating how the benzene got into the product.
The company is working to pull all of their product from retailers and customers can get a refund by calling J&J’s Consumer Care Center at 1-800-458-1673.
