Police report the arrest of a Canandaigua man on assault and weapon charges following a disturbance on Chapin Street.
Investigators say Edwin Galvin III, 33, of Canandaigua is accused of attempting to seriously injure another person with a weapon. Additional information about the incident was not released.
Galvin was charged with attempted assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
The charges will be answered at a later date in local court.
