Deputies report the arrest of a Clyde woman following a property damage crash and eventual traffic stop on Wolcott Rd. in the town of Rose around 12:30 a.m. on Monday.
Melissa Hughes, 42, of Clyde was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, and other vehicle and traffic violations- including leaving the scene of an accident after a property damage crash.
The crash happened when Hughes was traveling west on Wilson Rd. in Huron. She made a left turn on to Brown Rd., colliding with a guide rail.
Deputies say Hughes continued driving until her vehicle broke down at the intersection of Wolcott Rd. and New York State Rt. 414.
Hughes was arrested and processed at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. Her BAC was determined to be 0.21%. The charges will be answered at a later date.
