What’s next for Geneva Legion property? It could be sold after all

Will it be sold, or will it not? That has been the looming question for the last several years at the American Legion post along Rt. 14 in Geneva.

First, there appeared to be a developer interested in the property. That faded for financial reasons. Then, over the winter the Legion decided that it would hold onto the property.

Now, a new developer has entered the equation. Councilor Ken Camera tells the Finger Lakes Times that the new developer began engaging the City.

Officials with the Legion post did not comment on the possible sale. Officials with the city have also not commented extensively on it.

There’s been discussion about modifying zoning on the property for different types of development. Nothing has been confirmed at this point for what direction that could go.
