Deputies arrested a 45-year-old Galen man following a domestic incident investigation.
Charles Gilbert, 45, is accused of putting his hands around the throat of a woman- choking her during an incident.
He was arrested for criminal obstruction of breathing.
The charge will be answered at a later date in local court.
