The former Mentz town supervisor who was on the run from law enforcement for more than two decades has been sentenced.
William Jones, who was taken into custody in Ohio, then transferred back to Cayuga County was sentenced to a year-and-one-third to four years in state prison.
The charge stemmed from a weapons conviction in 1997.
He had already served jail time before his 1997 conviction.
