Seneca Falls PBA receives $4,000 donation from Seneca Meadows Landfill

The Seneca Falls Police Benevolent Association received a donation from the Seneca Meadows Landfill during the month of January.

The PBA is a non-profit organization comprised of the records clerks, sergeants, investigators, and patrol officers of the Seneca Falls Police Department with the goal of making charitable contributions within the Seneca Falls community. Scholastic scholarship donations, youth athletic sponsorships, and monetary contributions to crime and fire prevention programs are some of the contributions that the PBA has made in the past and continues to make throughout the community. It is done through the PBA’s annual donation appeal to the residents, businesses, and organizations throughout Seneca Falls and surrounding areas.

In December 2020, Seneca Meadows executives contacted the PBA pledging $4,000 to be used for the police department’s annual Fill-The-Cruiser Toy Drive in 2020 and 2021. The toy drive is an annual charitable toy collection that began as a collaboration between the police department and other local agencies throughout Seneca County with the goal of providing toys and other items for families in need throughout the Seneca County area.

The annual toy drive takes place around the Christmas/Holiday Season every year and continues to grow up in support and in terms of financial contributions. The PBA has contributed to the purchase of toys for local families since the toy drive’s inception in 2016.

“The PBA is grateful to the Seneca Meadows Landfill for this donation and the positive impact it will have as the PBA continues to support this amazing event. The PBA and police department would like to thank the executives of the Seneca Meadows Landfill for the generous donation to the PBA and for its support of this wonderful community,” they said in a statement.
