Former Canandaigua Town Supervisor Greg Westbrook will run for that office again.
Westbrook left office in September 2018, previously held a position on town board as well. In 2017 he was appointed to town supervisor before exiting that role less than a year into it.
He stepped away due to not having enough time to fulfill the obligations of the job. The Republican said he’s prepared to run in a primary if other candidates run.
Incumbent Republican Cathy Menikotz has not announced her intentions on running. She won a three-way race last time around to fill out the remainder of the term that she was appointed to.
