Geneva woman dies from injuries sustained in crash with UPS box truck

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office says a 78-year-old Geneva woman died at Strong Memorial Hospital after a crash in mid-December.

It happened on December 15th around 2:45 p.m. at the intersection of Boyd and Glover roads in Sodus.


Deputies say Mary Bonacci, 78, of Geneva died on January 4th at Strong Memorial Hospital from injuries sustained in the crash.

She had been airlifted to Strong by Mercy Flight. Deputies said there were no other injuries reported.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Wallington Fire Department, Alton Fire Department, Sodus Town Ambulance, Silver Waters Ambulance, Wayne County ALS, and Mercy Flight.
