New York State Police say a Steuben County man was taken into custody after forcing another person out of a moving vehicle.
The entire thing unfolded in the town of Savona.
While that vehicle was later located, another state trooper – while responding to that incident – was involved in a crash on I-86.
Police say the vehicle had its lights and sirens on, but a car attempted to merge into the lane – striking the patrol vehicle.
The trooper was treated for a head injury, according to an update on the incident.
Charges in the two incidents were not immediately available. The investigations were said to still be active.
