Young child who was among ejected from buggy in Yates crash has been released from hospital

An update from a family friend indicates that the 7-year-old girl who was seriously injured after being ejected from a violent horse-and-buggy crash in Yates County has been released from the hospital.

The family friend posted to Facebook, updating the community on Lynelle Sensenig, who is now staying with her grandparents until her parents house is ready.

That post indicated that she has a long road to recovery, but that the outpouring of support from the community has been helpful.

A car parade is hoped to be organized for Lynelle, who was one of the most-seriously injured in that crash on East Sherman Road in Jerusalem.

It happened on August 9th.

The driver of the vehicle involved, identified as Justin Niver, 24, of Penn Yan was ticketed after the crash.
