State Troopers are investigating after a woman was struck and killed while walking in Skaneateles on Saturday.
Troopers say Michele Minnette Frank, 55, of Skaneateles and a friend were walking on the shoulder of Hencoop Road around 10:20 a.m. when a vehicle struck her.
Frank was taken to Auburn Community Hospital and pronounced dead there.
The driver of the vehicle, as well as the second pedestrian were not hurt. A nearby dog ran out onto the road where Frank was struck and also died, according to police.
A State Police Drug Recognition Expert responded to the scene and determined there were no signs of alcohol or drugs as being factors.
The investigation remains active.
