Audit finds robocalls flying under the radar, just 9% of 360K complaints investigated

A new audit finds that just 9% of total robocall complaints are investigated.

The audit was released by the Office of the New York State Comptroller, which found that only 34,000 complaints were investigated in one year.

For comparison, there were more than 360,000 complaints in 2018 for robocalls.

The state comptroller’s office says it’s working to increase staff in the Do Not Call program.
