Car fire contained before anyone hurt on Route 21 in Ontario County

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports that they were called to a vehicle fire on Wednesday on State Route 21.

Around 5 p.m. deputies were called to the scene along with the Naples Fire Department after receiving report of a car on fire.

Deputies say Angela Graves, 39, and Jesse Graves, 40, both of Wellsville, were traveling on Route 21 in a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country when the right-front brake mechanisms in the vehicle overheated.

The overheating caused a fire, but the flame subsided before first responders arrived. Neither occupant was injured as result of the incident.

The vehicle was towed from the scene.
