After a home invasion and murder in Newfield last month, law enforcement officials are offering a cash reward of up to $2,500 for information that directly leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the crime.
A 29-year-old Newfield resident, identified as DeJour Xavier Gandy, was shot and killed after three black males entered his home during the overnight hours. Deputies said at the time that they were wearing masks.
Police said in the update on Thursday, “Any information, however insignificant it may seem, could help. Please call the NYS Crime Stoppers hotline.”
That number is 1-(866)-313-TIP (8477). No new updates have been released for several weeks by authorities.
