Lattimore considering NYS Senate run in 50th District

Weeks after another unsuccessful mayoral bid in the city of Auburn, Cayuga County Legislature Vice Chair Tim Lattimore is considering his next run.

It would be for the 50th Senate District, according to reporting by The Citizen.

That reporting indicates that Lattimore is contemplating seeking the Republican nomination in the district, which will likely be resigned by Bob Antonacci at the end of the year.

Antonacci received the second-most votes in a five-person race for 5th Judicial District. Governor Andrew Cuomo would call a special election to fill the seat – if he should resign.

West Genesee High School biology teacher Jon Mannion announced he will seek the Democratic Party nomination to run in the 50th Senate District.
