Roads back open after 5-vehicle crash on Rt. 104 in Webster

A box truck crashed into a vehicle Tuesday morning in Webster, causing a chain reaction crash that snarled traffic.

The crash happened around 9:30 a.m. on Rt. 104 West.

According to troopers, a box truck hit a passenger vehicle from behind, which subsequently hit three other cars in front of it.

State Police said there were multiple injuries, but none of the injuries were considered serious.

Traffic had to be diverted while the crash scene was cleared. Rt. 104 opened to normal traffic about two hours later.

Police did not say whether any tickets or citations will be issued.
