Newark man arrested on burglary, grand larceny charges following investigation

Deputies report the arrest of a Newark man on burglary and grand larceny charges following an investigation, which was initiated on July 18th.

Bishop E. Jones, 21, of Newark was arrested after the investigation was conducted regarding that burglary at an address on Buffalo Road in the Town of Arcadia.

It is alleged that Jones entered a residence while the homeowner’s were not at home and took an air conditioner, a title to a vehicle and a diamond wedding ring belonging to the homeowner, according to police.

Jones was charged with third-degree grand larceny and second-degree burglary.

He was processed at the Wayne County Jail and will answer the charges at a later date.
