It’s going to be a quiet, cool day to July standards in the Finger Lakes. While the region will struggle to push much beyond 70 degrees – light rain showers will be plentiful through the morning hours.
As they wrap-up during the afternoon hours temperatures will stay moderate – and a gorgeous week will be underway.
Here’s an outline from the National Weather Service on when the showers should break; and things clear up:

The Southern Tier will see a chance for some stronger storms, or even flash flooding. But that risk is very mild compared to parts of Pennsylvania. The National Weather Service outlines that risk in the below graphic:
SEE OUR LATEST BRIEFING at https://t.co/pCBJMoySY0 for details: Passing low pressure will cause rain to break out areawide today; however, localized flash flooding and strong to severe thunderstorms may occur in some parts of the region (especially south and east #pawx #nywx). pic.twitter.com/G70szAJA5T

That said, after today’s rainfall passes – high pressure will build; and rain chances through the week will dry up.
