On Thursday police arrested a 36-year-old Syracuse man on several charges after driving while intoxicated with children in his vehicle.
Garry E. Brown, 36, of Syracuse was charged with driving while intoxicated, two counts of aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and insufficient tail lights.
Police say Brown was stopped on State Route 5 in the Town of Sennett for having insufficient tail lights. He was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests.
Brown was transported to SP Auburn where he provided a breath sample of 0.08 percent. He was arraigned in Brutus Town Court and remanded to the Cayuga County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail.
Brown is scheduled to appear at a later date.
