Overnight traffic stop results in aggravated DWI charge in Tyre

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on June 1st at approximately 1 a.m. deputies arrested a Rochester resident on aggravated DWI charges.

The arrest stems from a traffic stop on State Route 414 when 62-year-old Anne E. Steger, of Rochester was observed driving with an inadequate headlight – swerving into the opposite lane of traffic.



Upon investigation it was determined that Steger was intoxicated. She was arrested and issued uniform traffic tickets for aggravated DWI, failure to keep right, and inadequate headlamps.

She was committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility pending arraignment.
