Interlaken man accused of preventing domestic victim from calling 911

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a 26-year-old Interlaken resident on two counts following a domestic incident.

Deputies say that Andrew J. McDonald, 26, of Interlaken was charged with two counts of criminal mischief after the domestic incident.

During that incident, McDonald is said to have taken a cell phone away from a Covert resident – while they were attempting to seek emergency assistance.

He’s accused of further damaging the cell phone during that incident.

McDonald was committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
