Troopers report that a Syracuse man was arrested on DWI and DWAI charges following a stop at a checkpoint in Cayuga County.
Darryl A. Esce, 56, of Syracuse was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and driving while ability impaired by drugs.
While conducting a DWI road check on State Route 5 in Sennett, Troopers stopped Esce.
He was subsequently placed through field sobriety tests, which he failed.
He was issued traffic tickets and will answer the charges at a later date.
