A holiday bazaar Nov. 21-22 at Asbury First in Rochester will raise money for outreach programs providing meals, clothing and other help to people in need.
The Asbury First Storehouse event will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday in Fellowship Hall at 1040 East Ave., according to the organizers’ announcement.
Vendors, poinsettias and puzzles will be part of the bazaar. Three Kings Oasis will offer soup, sandwiches and sweets. Parking behind the church is free, and the event is accessible to people with disabilities.
The Community Outreach Center opened in 2023 after a historic building on the Asbury First campus was renovated to bring several programs together. The largely volunteer-staffed center assists families referred by the Red Cross after fires, among other neighbors needing help.
In 2025, its programs provided 13,690 meals, clothing or household goods to 5,818 people, 1,577 showers, 1,000 bags of groceries, 682 loads of laundry and 245 haircuts. Volunteers also serviced 275 bicycles.
Organizers said demand has increased in 2026, with 11% more meals, 46% more laundry loads, 36% more showers and 5% more families receiving clothing and essential items compared with 2025. Bazaar proceeds will help meet rising program costs.
