Deputies began investigating in October after receiving allegations that Compton had inappropriately touched a girl younger than 13 multiple times over the past year, according to the sheriff's office.

At Compton's arraignment, the court issued a full stay-away order of protection for the child.

Bail was set at $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.

He is scheduled to appear in Sempronius Town Court at noon Nov. 5.
