A section of State Route 8 in the town of Columbus, Chenango County, will close to all traffic from the morning of Saturday, Nov. 7, through early Monday, Nov. 9, for a culvert replacement project.
Work between State Route 80 and County Route 25 is scheduled to begin Monday, Nov. 2, weather permitting, with alternating one-way traffic controlled by temporary signals, according to the New York State Department of Transportation.
During the full closure, a signed detour will direct drivers to State Route 80 and County Route 25.
After the road reopens, traffic will return to a single lane until the project is completed approximately two weeks later.
