Geneva theft complaint leads to petit larceny charge at Byrne Dairy

Geneva police charged a 32-year-old person with petit larceny after Byrne Dairy staff reported the theft of two alcoholic drinks valued at $4.60.

Ashley Lathey was arrested Oct. 1 on Exchange Street following the store's complaint, according to a police release issued Thursday.

The items were two bottles of Johnny Bootlegger beverages, police said.

Lathey was processed and issued an appearance ticket for Geneva City Criminal Court at a later date. The release did not give a court date.
