Geneva police arrested a 33-year-old city man Monday after a domestic incident in which he is accused of obstructing a partner's breathing and preventing a call for emergency help.
Ryan Schlenker was arrested following a complaint on Castle Street, according to a police release issued Thursday.
He was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing, unlawful imprisonment, third-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal mischief. Police said he also threatened the partner during the incident.
Schlenker was taken to CAP court, where a stay-away order of protection was issued. He was released without bail pending his next court date, which the release did not specify.
