Happy Tails Animal Shelter will offer free adoptions this weekend in Canandaigua, according to News10NBC. All eligible animals can be adopted at no cost Saturday and Sunday at the County Road 48 shelter.
The shelter says it is overcrowded and is working to find homes for every dog and cat in its care.
A Saturday event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. will include a bounce house, face painting, craft vendors, hot dogs and raffle baskets.
Happy Tails also plans another free adoption weekend Sept. 19 and 20.
The offer applies to eligible animals at the shelter, and people can check available pets through Happy Tails.
