Trumansburg officials are considering lower speed limits and new parking restrictions near the village’s school campus, according to 14850.com.
One proposal would prohibit parking on the south side of Whig Street between School House Lane and Truman Street from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on school days.
A separate measure would establish school-day speed limits of 20 mph on part of South Street and 15 mph on sections of Whig and Truman streets.
The changes would preserve the existing East Main Street school zone while eliminating the current 15 mph zone on Cayuga Street.
Public hearings are scheduled during the Village Board meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10, at Village Hall.
