The Yates County Legislature's Human Services Committee will consider calling for a two-year delay of federal cost shifts affecting the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program when it meets Monday, Aug. 3.
The committee is scheduled to meet at 1:15 p.m. in the legislative chambers at 417 Liberty St. in Penn Yan, with remote access available through Zoom.
The proposed resolution addresses administrative and benefit cost shifts enacted under federal legislation identified in the packet as H.R. 1. It also calls on New York state to hold counties harmless if the federal government does not delay the changes.
The committee's Social Services agenda also includes appointments, Medicaid changes, housing and unemployment rates.
Public Health is expected to provide program updates and discuss the county's Community Health Assessment and Community Health Improvement Plan. The committee will also consider amending a contract with the S2AY Rural Health Network, which does business as the Pivital Public Health Partnership.
The Zoom webinar ID is 836 7156 3503 and the passcode is 972920.
