The Yates County Legislature's Public Works Committee will review plans for an eight-bay hangar and taxilane project at the Penn Yan-Yates County Airport when it meets Monday, Aug. 3.
The meeting is scheduled for noon in the legislative chambers at 417 Liberty St. in Penn Yan, with remote access available through Zoom.
The agenda packet says site preparation is expected to begin in early September. The project has a 120-day construction period, although the prefabricated hangar structure has a four-month lead time and the project clock will pause while crews wait for it.
The committee will also consider an electric supply contract with Constellation Energy for county facilities in Benton and Guyanoga. The proposed contract would run from Oct. 19, 2026, through Oct. 28, 2030, with the price per kilowatt-hour set when the agreement is signed.
Other resolutions cover snow and ice contracts with towns, an online auction agreement for surplus county property and renewal of airport billing and collection services with Vector Airport Systems.
