A Bath woman is facing a drug possession charge after police said an officer encountered her during an overnight patrol near an apartment complex.
According to the Village of Bath Police Department, an officer was patrolling the area of the Dana Lyon apartments at 208 Liberty St. at about 1:04 a.m. July 27 when a suspicious woman was observed on the property. Following an investigation, police determined Amy R. Van Delinder, 44, of Bath, was allegedly under the influence of narcotics.
Police said Van Delinder was also found in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine.
She was charged with one count of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class A misdemeanor. Van Delinder was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Bath Village Court at a later date.
