Champions for Life Sports Center in Sennett will undergo a $4 million renovation that adds pickleball courts, restores tennis courts and expands its indoor turf space, according to The Citizen.
Beardsley Architects + Engineers is scheduled to begin construction Aug. 31 after three years of planning.
The first phase is expected to finish before the end of 2026 and will include three pickleball courts, refinished tennis courts, a gymnastics viewing area and new indoor turf.
The project will delay the center’s fall gymnastics season by about a month, while other programs are expected to continue.
The center has raised about 80% of its $580,000 first-phase fundraising goal and is still seeking donations and naming-rights sponsors.
