Brutus parolee charged in Sennett car wash burglary

A Brutus man on parole was arrested Tuesday in connection with a Sept. 8 burglary at a Sennett car wash, the Cayuga County Sheriff's Office said in a Friday release.

Patrick Crisalli, 59, was charged on an arrest warrant with third-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief and third-degree criminal mischief. The sheriff's office classified all three charges as felonies.

Deputies responded to the car wash about 10 a.m. Sept. 8 and found that someone had forced open a door and tried to get into a change dispenser, damaging the building and equipment. The business provided security footage, which deputies said helped them identify Crisalli.

Deputies took Crisalli into custody about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. He was on parole for burglary charges at the time of the car wash incident, according to the sheriff's office.

After arraignment in CAP Court, Crisalli was remanded without bail. The sheriff's office said he had previous felony convictions and was charged with another felony while on parole.
